Authors: Selis, Marco; Carpenter, James M.;

Antodynerus uniformis Selis & Carpenter 2023, comb. nov.

Abstract

Antodynerus uniformis (Gusenleitner, 2012) comb. nov. Anterhynchium uniforme Gusenleitner 2012: 531, figs. 17–18, ♀ —“ RSA, Kwazulu Natal, Tembe Elephant Park, 50 m, Ndumo, 27°02’S 32°23’E ” (holotype OLML). Typical material examined. Holotype of Anterhynchium uniforme: “R.S.A.—KwazuluNatal / Tembe Elephant Park, 50m / Ndumo, S27°022, E32°23’ / leg. M.Halada, 10.1.2008 // Anterhynchium / uniforme nov.spec. / J.Gusenleitner,det.2012 / Holotypus // Biologiezentrum Linz / Austria (LI) / ex Coll. J. & M. Halada / Eingang 2008” (OLML). Distribution. South Africa (Gusenleitner 2012). Remarks. This species was described as Anterhynchium uniforme by Gusenleitner (2012), but examination of the holotype showed that this species should be transferred to the genus Antodynerus. The characters that justify this new placement are: translucent margin at apex of T1, metanotum seen from above semicircular and tegula exceeding parategula. Pictures of the holotype are available at ZOBODAT (2022a).
