artoa4argo is a Matlab based software package for acoustic tracking of RAFOS enabled Argo floats used in oceanographic research. artoa4argo offers an integrated graphical user interface, displaying the RAFOS signals’ times of arrival data in one window, and tracking results in a second, along with I/O panels to control all ancillary parameters relevant for tracking. While artoa4argo’s tracking algorithms are migrated without modification from those used in ARTOA 3, ARTOA II and earlier versions, it adds to these earlier versions by directly integrating all available satellite fixes (i.e., float positions obtained by GPS or other satellite systems) to the graphic data displays,improving sound source assignments offering the possibility to solve for unknown clock offsets of sound sources and floats, float by float, or even for all concurrently active floats overlay multiple tracking attempts for the same trajectory segment interactively manipulate ancillary parameters as used during tracking reverse (in time) tracking
