Abstract

Resumen: Introducción: El actual mercado laboral demanda a los trabajadores, y por tanto a los estudiantes como futuros empleados, una serie de destrezas necesarias para el desarrollo de la actividad laboral, es decir, competencias. Objetivos: Describir y analizar el perfil sociodemográfico del alumnado de un ciclo formativo de grado superior y relacionarlo con las competencias profesionales básicas del mismo. Métodos: Para este trabajo de investigación cuantitativa, con un diseño descriptivo y de carácter transversal, contando con una muestra, seleccionada mediante muestreo por conveniencia, de un total de 23 alumnos, haciendo uso del Cuestionario validado para la evaluación de competencias genéricas en estudiantes universitarios. Resultados y discusión: Los resultados exponen que el género y la religión influyen en el desarrollo competencial, concretamente en las competencias ligadas a las habilidades de gestión, el liderazgo y las relaciones laborales y el trabajo en equipo. Conclusiones: Con esta investigación cuantitativa se puede concluir que el género es una variable importante en el desarrollo de las competencias profesionales básicas, en alumnado de ciclos formativos de grado superior, siendo especialmente importante en las competencias relacionadas con las habilidades de gestión, el liderazgo y el trabajo en equipo.

Abstract: Introduction: The current labor market demands from workers, and therefore from students as future employees, a series of skills necessary for the development of work activity, that is, competencies. Aim: The objective of describing and analyzing the sociodemographic profile of the students of a higher-level training cycle and relating it to its basic professional skills has been proposed. Methods: For this quantitative research work, with a descriptive and cross-sectional design, with a sample, selected by sampling for convenience, of a total of 23 students, using the validated Questionnaire for the evaluation of generic competences in university students. Results & discussion: The results show that gender and religion influence the development of competencies, specifically in the competencies linked to management skills, leadership and labor relations and teamwork. Conclusions: With this quantitative research it can be concluded that gender is an important variable in the development of basic professional skills, in students of higher education cycles, being especially important in skills related to management skills, leadership and work. team up.
