Abstract

Intikhâb-i-Kulliyyât-i-Khâḳânî. This manuscript is now IO Islamic 951 in the India Office collections. [metadata: Hermann Ethé, Catalogue of Persian Manuscripts in the Library of the India Office, 2 vols. (Oxford: India Office, 1903): volume 1, number 609 here with notations and hyperlinks]. 951 Intikhâb-i-Kulliyyât-i-Khâḳânî (انتخاب كلّيّات خاقانى). Extracts from Khâḳânî’s dîwân (انتخاب ديوان خاقانى), consisting of ḳaṣîdas, ghazals, and rubâ’îs (the latter on ff. 112b-117a), followed by the Tuḥfat-al’irâḳain (on ff. 117a margin -176). Beginning of the ḳaṣidas: مرا زهاتف همّت رسد بگوش خطاب الخ , corresponding to fol. 138a in No. 2552 (967 below). Beginning of mathnawî as usual. Dated the 12th of Jumâdâ II, A.H. 1038 (A.D. 1629, Febr. 6), by Muḥammad Shafî’ of Iṣfahân. No. 609, ff. 81b-177a, 2 coll., cach ll. 15, and a third on the margin, ll. 24-28; Nasta’lîḳ; illuminated frontispiece, the first two pages richly embellished; a picture on fol. 177a; size, 9¾ in. by 5½ in.
