The article analyzes the processes of modernizing the teaching of history in secondary schools, including the wider use of multimedia technologies in lessons and the problems of their joint use with modern pedagogical technologies and innovative methods in history classes. Methodological recommendations are presented to promote independent thinking of students using multimedia technologies in teaching history.
