Ruta graveolens L., which is of medicinal importance, has been cultivated under the conditions of Absheron and monitored during the developmental stages of ontogenesis. Differences and common signs in the growth and development of plants at the age and transitional stages were studied. Plant organs were studied during the transition from one age stage to another and the observations were made during the prefloral, vegetation period. During the study of the growth and development cycles of the plant, the chemical composition of the essential oil was determined, and microbiological analysis was performed. The criteria for tolerance to environmental factors were identified, agrotechnical methods of control were developed
