This paper analyzes solid waste management in emerging countries. It emphasizes the significance of informal recyclers in the recovery of commodities from solid waste. The document also addresses the issues that informal recyclers confront, such as unsafe working conditions. Finally, the document makes recommendations for ways to increase the efficiency of informal recyclers as well as the solid waste management system in developing nations.
