Abstract

El presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo desarrollar un método neutrosófico para la evaluación in vitro del efecto que produce la cloración del agua de piscina con pH ácido y neutro sobre el esmalte dentario superficial, evaluándolo a través de la prueba de microdureza. La presente investigación propone un método neutrosófico para la evaluación del efecto de la cloración del agua de piscina en Quito. Se desarrolla un análisis comparativo entre pH ácido y neutro sobre el esmalte dentario superficial, estudio in vitro. A partir de la estimación se realizó un estudio experimental utilizando 23 piezas permanentes y obteniendo 45 especímenes, divididos en tres grupos. Un grupo de 15 especímenes fue expuesto al agua de piscina con pH 5, otro grupo de 15 especímenes al agua de piscina con un pH de 7, ambos por 60 horas y el último grupo corresponde al grupo control. Como resultados, estadísticamente no se encontró diferencia significativa de la microdureza del esmalte superficial en el grupo sometido al agua de piscina de 7, comparado con el grupo control; sin embargo, en la muestra expuesta al agua de piscina de 5,5 si hallamos una diferencia significativa. Como conclusiones encontramos el pH de 7 en una piscina es un pH adecuado; mientras que la piscina con pH 5 resultó nocivo para el esmalte dentario superficial, disminuyendo signifcativamente su microdureza superficial en piezas permanentes tras una exposición de 60 horas.
