In this article, the educational importance of organizing mass sports events among schoolchildren is studied. A mass sports event, regardless of its scale, should be held as a sports festival at a high cultural and organizational level. The success of a mass sporting event depends on its organization, which, in our opinion, should be divided into several main stages. The following aspects can be distinguished that can make the ceremony of holding a sporting event more solemn: after the opening of the competition, demonstration performances by athletes and well-known, popular creative teams, events.
