COMMENT: Recognized by Hershkovitz, 1966, but not by the IWC, 1975, J. Fish Res. Bd. Can., 32:875-983 (who included it in longirostris). See Perrin et al., 1981, J. Mammal., 62:583- 598, for redescription. PROTECTED STATUS: CITES - Appendix II as Order Cetacea.
