
Nyctophilus lophorhina (McKean and Calaby, 1968). Mammalia, 32:373. TYPE LOCALITY: Papua New Guinea, Northern Province, Mt. Lamington. (8° 55' S. and 48° 10' E.). DISTRIBUTION: S.E. New Guinea. COMMENT: Formerly placed in the genus Lamingtona by McKean and Calaby, 1968, Mammalia, 32:373. Very similar to N. microtis, of which it is almost certainly a synonym; see Hill and Koopman (in press), Bull. Br. Mus. (Nat. Hist.), Zool., 41. ISIS NUMBER: 5301405014031001001 as Lamingtona lophorhina.
