Developing materials that reduce damage to the environment has become environmentally friendly alternative in reducing environmental problems. The Amazon rainforest is the largest rainforest in the world, home of many species of fauna and flora. The tucumã is a fruit from Amazon rainforest, its consumption is quite common in the region, the post-consumer use is intended usually to craft, however, researchers are studying the possibilities of this fruit be turned into biodiesel to generate electricity. The wok consists in obtaining a polymer composite using cored fruit tucumã as reinforcement and Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) as a polymer matrix. The reinforced material was characterized with TGA, particle size analysis, moisture content. Based on ASTM D695-02-a for compression test composites were manufactured with three different types of grains and different proportions, compression test was performed on the test specimens. The results showed that the composite grains with small dimensions (129 ± 97 μm), with a percentage of 10, 20, and 30% showed enhanced mechanical properties better than composites with medium (577 ± 134 µm) and large grains (1436 ± 285 µm).
