Stenus linearis exsectior Puthz, 1971 Type locality. South Africa, Eastern Cape Province, Wit Els Bos. Material examined. SOUTH AFRICA: Eastern Cape: 1 ♂: Tsitsikama N.P., Blue Duiker Tr. [Trail], Storms River Mouth (ca. 2.5km W), 34°1.0’S, 23°52.7’E, 12.ii.2014, J. Janák lgt. (JJRC); 1 ♂: Cape Prov, Tsitsikamma forest, 33.58 S – 23.30 E, litter, 7.iii.1992, Klimaszewski (TMSA); Western Cape: 2 ♀: S. Cape, Gouna moist forest, 33.57 S – 23.02 E, from forest litter, xii.1983, J. Koen, (TMSA); 3 ♂, 3 ♀: S. Cape, George, 33.58 S – 22.02 E, forest litter in gorge, 4.ix.1979, E-Y 1633, Endrödy-Younga (TMSA, JJRC); 1 ♀: Cape Prov., Lily Vlei Nat. Res., 33.56 S – 23.02 E, April 1984, moist for. litter, leg. J. Koen (TMSA). Distribution: The subspecies is distributed in South Africa: from George (Western Cape) to Tsitsikamma (Eastern Cape).
