Stapecolis Garbelotto & Campos, 2016 The genus can be recognized by having the anterolateral margins of the pronotum crenulated, the dorsal rim of the pygophore with paired expansions laterad to the abdominal segment X, the apex of the foliaceus expansions of the inferior layer of the ventral rim with a small spinose carina; absence of the lobular expansions on the superior layer of the ventral rim, the subrectangular expansions below the ventral opening of the ventral rim, and the ventral opening of the pygophore is subrectangular (Garbelotto et al. 2016).
