Abstract—Generating a college timetable is a hard and arduous task that requires a lot of effort from the side of teachers across departments. It requires a lot of time and patience. Although many academic institutions use software for educational and management purposes, most of them doesn’t have an automated timetable generator. They still create timetables manually. Proposed work is a proposal for generating timetables using genetic algorithm without any clashes regarding teachers, courses, resources, departments and sections.
