The IceCube Upgrade is an under construction next-generation detector extension of the IceCube Neutrino Observatory. The deployment of additional strings with improved photosensors at denser spacings than the current detector will dramatically enhance many of IceCube’s analyses, including atmospheric neutrino oscillation analyses, indirect searches for dark matter, and 1-100 GeV neutrino astronomy. New calibration devices will improve systematic uncertainties; notably those related to photon scattering and absorption in the South Pole ice which impact angular and energy reconstruction resolutions across the highest and lowest energy ranges to which IceCube is sensitive. This poster will provide an overview of the layout, design, hardware, and performance goals of the IceCube Upgrade. The IceCube Upgrade is an under construction next-generation detector extension of the IceCube Neutrino Observatory. | selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 0 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
