Abstract

Notizie da giornali, siti web e televisioni riportato sempre più enfaticamente i successi relativi a computer quantistici. È pertanto naturale chiedersi quali sono questi computer, come operano, dove sono, quanto costano e cosa serve al loro funzionamento. Anche perché i titoli delle notizie possono portare ad intendere tali computer come supercomputer effettivamente esistenti. Questo lavoro propone una review dello stato attuale dei cosiddetti Computer Quantistici, con particolare accento, ove possibile, sulla relativa logistica. Nel panorama dell’Informatica Quantistica, si vuole infatti approfondire di cosa hanno bisogno i sistemi di calcolo quantistico attuali e di come potrebbe essere il futuro delle infrastrutture legate ad esso, di quale potrà essere il sistema base di algoritmi relativi, e quindi la loro logistica intesa come nuova «arte del computare». Particolare attenzione verrà data al vantaggio quantistico, la strategia di medio termine relativa alla progettazione di algoritmi per le prossime generazioni di computer quantistici. Tali algoritmi sono richiesti da un ventaglio di applicazioni strategiche. Si discuterà anche, a mo’ d’esempio, l’algoritmo del teletrasporto quantistico. Oltre a parlare di qubit, si accennerà anche al qumode.
