Labelling and certification protocols for second life batteries

Abstract

This report discusses various aspects of the repurposing of lithium batteries. Reuse is first placed in the broader context of the circular economy, then the existing standards and regulations are analyzed. After that, development of labelling and certification protocols for second life batteries is presented, in the context of upcoming EU regulation and IEC TC21 standards preparation.
