These data were contributed by participants of the Engaging Citizen Science Conference held in Aarhus, Denmark in April 2022. Participants first answered 'why' we should empower youth in citizen science and citizen social science. The stages of planning, running and sustaining a project were then explored using the questions 'how', 'who' and 'where'. The spreadsheet provides the participants answers and the authors' analysis of these.
