INSISTÊNCIA: Caminhar na marca do próprio gesto

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis dissertation proposes the reading of the gesture of insisting as a production method within the arts. With the aim of tracing evidence that demonstrates different modes and procedures of the gesture of insisting, works and gestures by Anna Maria Maiolino, Eva Hesse and the author were read. The reading of the works is supported by the concepts: vestige, index, repetition and insistence, which put them in dialogue with questions from the history of art -from the vanguard to current times. The entire text brings the reading and conceptual elaboration in the first person, evidencingthe experience of experimenting and elaborating the thought about the gesture, an action that makes up the insistence, which comes back to itself.
