Abstract

Nephrodesmus hochreutineri Schindl. In Repertorium Specierum Novarum Regni Vegetabilis 22: 251-253 (1926). — Type: Nouvelle-Calédonie. Prov. Nord: Wagap, 1861- 1867, fr., Vieillard 2549 (holo -, NY [NY01104732, NY01104733] scan!, Fig. 2; iso -, P [P02296194, P02296195]!). NOTES Nephrodesmus hochreutineri et Arthroclianthus macrobotryosus ont été longtemps confondus en raison d’un doute émis par Hochreutiner (1909) sur l’appartenance des échantillons Vieillard 2549 (holotype) et Vieillard 2550 à la même espèce. Cette dernière récolte fut toutefois exclue de N. hochreutineri par Schindler (1926). Deux rameaux distincts sont visibles sur la part Vieillard 2549 de l’herbier de NY, correspondant bien à la même espèce. De plus amples explications relatives à cette confusion sont fournies sous le paragraphe Arthroclianthus macrobotryosus Hochr.
