Stelis profusa Duque, sp. nov.

Abstract

Stelis profusa Duque ex Flores Roj. & Karremans, sp. nov. (Fig. 5a,b) Type:— COLOMBIA: Antioquia. Montes de Santa Helena (Medellin), 2500 m., Oct 1999, Duque & Alzate 2325 (holotype: JAUM!). Notes:— Stelis profusa Duque (2010: 145-146) was not validly published according to Art. 8.1 and Art. 8.2 as several specimens from locations and dates were cited. To complicate matters, Duque 2324 was not found at JAUM, and instead we located several specimens that included parts of the original materials, localities, dates and collectors. We are certain that what was published was a mix of different elements. The name is here validated, and one of the specimens selected as holotype (Fig. 5a), making the others paratypes (Fig. 5b). Stelis pubescens (Kolanowska & Szlachetko) Karremans, comb. nov. Basionym: Crocodeilanthe pubescens Kolanowska & Szlachetko (2020: 127–128).
