Campsiura (Macroma) scutellaris (Gory & Percheron, 1833) Distribution: ETI, GBI, MLI, RCI, SEN, SLN. Distribution in Guinea-Bissau (Administrative Regions): 1) BAF, BOL, CAC. Historic records: — Bolama (BOL) (Janson 1907 sub Macroma confusa Westw.); — Bafatá (BAF), Bolama (BOL), Suzana (=Susana) (CAC) (Brivio 1958 sub Macroma scutellaris G.P.). Material examined: none Remarks. It is the type species of a group with its own name (C. scutellaris group sensu Antoine 2006).A key to the species of this group was given by Antoine (2006). Legrand & Malec (2006) provided biological data concerning the breeding association with elephant dung for some other species of Campsiura. Holm & Perissinotto (2010) assigned predatory habits on scale insects for Campsiura (Macroma) cognata (Schaum, 1841). Serrano et al. (2020) referred the capture of C. angolensis (Kraatz, 1883) on flowers of guavas trees (Psidium guajava) in a secondary moist forest. Lumaret & Cambefort (1985) provided the description of larvae for Campsiura (Calocampsiura) trivittata (Moser, 1907). Biological and ecological data are not available for this species.
