Mesochorus (Mesochorus) alpigenus Strobl, 1904 (Fig. 6) Material examined. UKRAINE: Ivano-Frankivsk Region: 1 ♀, Gorgany, m. Syvulya, 12–13 km SW of Stara Guta, 48.531433 N, 24.132609 E, 1425 m, subalpine zone, sweeping, 14.vii.2012; Transcarpathian Region: 1 ♀, Chornogora, Sheshul 6.7 km NE of Kvasy, 48.157193°N, 24.363658°E, 1450 m, subalpine zone, Malaise trap, 6–29.vi.2014; 5 ♀♀, idem, 29.vi–18.vii.2014, leg. O. Varga (SIZK). Distribution. Europe; first record for Ukraine. Taxonomical remark. This species can be differentiated from the other members of the nigripes -group by its stout mesosoma which is only 1.3–1.4 × longer than high (at least 1.5 × in the other members).
