VOWEL EQUALENCE IN THE ENGLISH AND UZBEK LANGUAGES

Abstract

In order to identify the similar and distinctive features of the vowel phonemes and their positional variants in English and Uzbek, the vowel systems of these languages should be sub-grouped in the following way from the point of their acoustic and orthographic similarities:
