Genus Pateobatis A total of 21 specimens were identified as Pateobatis jenkinsii (Figure 6), based on morphology and genetic analysis. As Ahmed (2020) included this species in a checklist (as Himantura jenkinsii), it is not considered a new record for Bangladesh, but it represents the first verified record.
