Eastern Pacific – Concepción Bay (Gulf of California), Costa Rica, Panama, Málaga Bay (Colombia) (Christoffersen 1984; Martínez-Iglesias et al. 1996). Ecological notes. Estuarine species inhabiting sandy and muddy bottoms, in burrows, sometimes found among rocks, oysters, and mangrove roots. Intertidal to 22 m (Christoffersen 1984). Previous records in Bahia.
