Abstract

Lithophane pacifica Kononenko, 1978 (Figs. 8, 10, 11) Lithophane pacifica Kononenko, 1978, Entomologicheskoe Obozrenie 57 (4): 894, fig. 4, 5. Type-locality: Russia, Primorye Terr., Lazovsky distr., Lysaya Benevskaya Mt. (Types: ZI, St. Petersburg). Material examined. Type series, including 9 males and 13 females, collected in Primorye territory: Lysaya Benevskaya Mt. 23.viii.1969 (Pugachuk), same locality, 22–24.viii.1974 (Vasjurin); Kedrovaya Pad nature reserve 1–2.xi.1976 (Kononenko); Ternei 28.ix.1974 (Volkova); additional material: 1 female, Tigrovoi, 21.ix.1975 (Kononenko); 1 male, Krounovka, 19.v.2000 (Beljaev). Genitalia prep. male—674 VK IBSS, female—706 VK IBSS. Distribution and biology (Fig. 13). Russia, Primorye Terr.; North Korea (Ronkay & Park 1993), North China (Changbashan Mts.). The species inhabits dark coniferous Picea -Abies taiga and mixed broad-leaved forest dominated by Pinus koraensis in the mountains at 400–1200 m. Adults are on the wing from late August to November and after hibernation from March to early May. Larvae and foodplants unknown.
