Engineering courses commonly have the discipline Science, Technology and Society (STS) that should directly promote education in humanities, but is largely reported for its failure in capturing students’ interest. One reason is that STS seems unrelated to the other disciplines. The study aims to end the culture of disengagement through ET as STEAM Education activity in terms of accomplishing interdisciplinarity, fostering abilities and STEAM literacy. Eleven undergraduate students volunteered in theatrical laboratories: actor preparation, scenario conception, writing and presenting a play about Mechanical Engineering.
