Authors: Yang, Liyuan; Zhang, Yalin;

Macropsidius fukangensis Li et Xu 2005, n. comb.

Abstract

Macropsidius fukangensis (Li et Xu, 2005) n. comb. Macropsis fukangensis Li et Xu, 2005: 580 –581. Material examined. 2♂♂, China: Ningxia Province, Liupan Mountain, 2070m, 1 July 2008, coll. Lu Lin (NWAFU). Distribution. China: Xinjiang, Ningxia. Remarks. This species, originally placed in the genus Macropsis, was described from Xinjiang, China. As this species has short pygofer processes not reaching the upper margin, we suggest it is more appropriately classified in Macropsidius.

Published as part of Yang, Liyuan & Zhang, Yalin, 2015, New records and synonymy in the genus Macropsidius (Hemiptera, Cicadellidae, Macropsinae) from China and description of a new Pediopsis species, pp. 487-492 in Zootaxa 4021 (3) on page 488, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.4021.3.9, http://zenodo.org/record/238651
