Phrurolithus thracia Komnenov & Chatzaki sp. n. Figs 85–96 Type material. Holotype: male (NHMC, FC 12160), Dadia National Park, field crops, Site 6, 02– 25.07.2011, leg. K. Zografou. Paratypes: 1 ♀ (NHMC, FC 12171, used for description), Dadia National Park, pine forest, Site 7, 22.07– 23.08.2011, leg. K. Zografou. Other material examined: Site 6 (b: 1 ♀; c: 2 ♀), Site 15 (b: 1 ♀). Etymology. The specific name is a noun in apposition, after the region where the type locality is located. Diagnosis. Phrurolithus thracia sp. n. differs from European and Palearctic species of Phrurolithus by having very large and prominent boomerang-like tegular apophysis. In relation to the shape of the tibial apophysis, it shares similarities with Phrurolithus festivus (C. L. Koch, 1835), but it differs by its width, being the same in all its length in retrolateral view. Females are easily distinguished from other known species from the shape and position of the introductory ducts and the spermathecae. Description. Male (holotype). Total length 2.0; carapace 0.9 long, 0.8 wide. Abdomen 1.1 long, 0.6 wide. Carapace oval, brown with pale gray pattern. Eight eyes in two rows. Both eye rows very slightly procurved or almost straight in dorsal view. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.05, ALE 0.07, PME 0.07, PLE 0.05, AME- AME 0.03, AME-ALE 0.01, ALE-PLΕ 0.03, PME-PME 0.03, PME-PLE 0.02; MOQ: 0.15 long, 0.13 anterior width, 0.16 posterior width. Clypeus under AME 0.12 high, under ALE 0.09 high. Chelicerae stout, black brown, with one spine frontally, promarginal and retromarginal teeth not visible. Maxillae, labium and sternum yellow brown. Maxillae longer than wide. Labium as long as wide. Sternum heart-shaped, with sparse brown hairs. Legs yellow brown, femur darker. Femur without dorsal spine. Femur I with one ventral spine; tibia I with 5 pairs of ventral spines; metatarsus I with 3 pairs of ventral spines. Femur II without ventral spines; tibia II with 4 pairs of ventral spines; metatarsus II with 2 pairs of ventral spines. Leg measurements: I 2.64 (0.7+0.3+0.67+0.58+0.39); II 2.29 (0.63+0.28+0.53+0.49+0.36); III 2.07 (0.54+0.25+0.46+0.49+0.33); IV 3.02 (0.77+0.31+0.71+0.76+0.47). Leg formula: 4123. Abdomen oval, dorsum black brown, with bright spots (Fig. 85), venter yellowish brown. Palp as in Figs 87–89, 92–94. Femur with a ventral median apophysis. Ventral retrolateral tibial apophysis very large with bent tip situated laterally (in P. festivus located medially) with same width all along. Tegular apophysis broad with large base and prominent, boomerang-like end. Median apophysis thumb-like. Embolus thick, distal part situated perpendicularly in respect to tegulum. Female (paratype). Total length 2.19; carapace 1.03 long, 0.8 wide. Abdomen 1.16 long, 0.9 wide. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.06, ALE 0.07, PME 0.08, PLE 0.06, AME-AME 0.03, AME-ALE 0.01, ALE-PLE 0.04, PME-PME 0.02, PME-PLE 0.03; MOQ: 0.17 long, 0.15 anterior width, 0.16 posterior width. Clypeus under AME 0.09 high, under ALE 0.07 high. Leg measurements: I 3.03 (0.82+0.33+0.80+0.66+0.42); II 2.65 (0.74+0.30+0.60+0.58+0.43); III 2.34 (0.62+0.25+0.51+0.57+0.39); IV 3.37 (0.91+0.28+0.82+0.86+0.50). Leg formula 4123. Carapace color, eye arrangement, abdominal coloration as for male (Fig. 86). Epigyne as in Figs 90, 95. Atrium large and rounded. Copulatory openings paired with prominent semi-circular edges, located near posterior margin, with almost same distance from each other as their maximum width. Vulva as in Figs 91, 96. Spermathecae in two parts; posterior part smaller, sclerotized and anterior part large, not-sclerotized, olive shaped. Posterior part of each spermatheca covered by an extra triangular pouch. Distribution. Known only from the type locality in NE-Greece (Fig. 1). Chorotype. Probably Greek endemic.
