Abstract

Parspina virescens Ostrowski de Núñez, Arredondo & Gil de Pertierra, 2011 Material deposited: MACN-Pa (type material). Host: Eigenmannia virescens (Valenciennes) (type host) (Gymnotiformes: Sternopygidae). Locality: Colastiné River (tributary of Paraná River) (type locality), Santa Fe Province. Site of infection: Pyloric caeca, anterior and middle part of intestine. Reference: Ostrowski de Núñez et al. (2011b). Remarks: Ostrowski de Núñez et al. (2011b) studied the tegument surface of the species, which was compared with that of Parspina argentinensis and P. carapo.
