Abstract

Genus Acosmetura Liu, 2000 Acosmetura Liu, 2000, Zoological Research, 21(3): 220, 225; Liu & Zhou, 2007, Acta Zootaxonomica Sinica, 32: 190; Liu, Zhou & Bi, 2008, Acta Zootaxonomica Sinica, 33(4): 761, 766; Bian, Kou & Shi, 2014, Zootaxa, 3811(2): 240. Type species: Acosmetura brevicerca Liu, 2000 Generic diagnosis. Body small. Brachypterous. Head hypognathous. Fastigium verticis conical, blunt apically. Posterior margin of pronotum obtusely rounded. Metazona slightly raised or not; lateral lobe narrowing posteriorly, without humeral sinus. Femora unarmed on ventral surface; fore coxae with 1 short spine, fore tibiae and middle tibiae with spines on ventral surface, tympanal organ of fore tibiae open on both sides, ovoid; genicular lobes of hind femora with apices obtuse, hind tibiae with 1 pair of dorsal apical spurs and 2 pairs of ventral apical spurs. Male tegmina covered by pronotum or slightly surpassing posterior margin of pronotum; female tegmina oval, deposited laterally; hind wings absent. Posterior margin of male 10th abdominal tergite with 1 shallow concavity, subgenital plate longer than wide; styli stout, inserted on apico-lateral margins of subgenital plate. Genitalia sclerotized and exposed, not surpassing posterior margin of subgenital plate. Ovipositor gently curved upwards, basal area stout, dorsal and ventral margins smooth or with some small thin teeth.
