Holotype: DZFF–USP. Type locality: Ilha das Palmas, São Paulo, Brazil. Ecological note: Found among algae and dead corals covered by algae. Callipallene margarita (Gordon, 1932) — Stock, 1992: 128 (Brazil: off Rio de Janeiro, 250 m). Original name: Pallene margarita —Gordon, 1932. Holotype: Unknown. Type locality: off Falkland Islands (50°35'S 57°20'W). Callipallene producta (Sars, 1888) — Stock, 1992: 128 (Brazil: off Rio de Janeiro, 130 m). Original name: Pallene producta —Sars, 1888. Syn.: Callipallene brevirostris producta —Stock, 1952. Holotype: Unknown. Type locality: Apelvaer, Norway.
