Tedania (Tedania) anhelans (Vio in Olivi, 1792) (Figure 2) Material examined. MMF 35069 / Location: Ponta da Cruz (PC), Madeira island / 5.5 m depth / Date: 2 jul 2001 / Collector: Rosa Pestana. Remarks. Curved tylotes are rare but straight tylotes are characteristic (192.0‒215.0‒236.7 x 2.6‒3.4‒5.3 µm). Straight onychaetes (84.2‒118.8‒136.8 x 0.62‒0.74‒0.75 µm) and occasionally slightly curved. The specimen collected had mucus, and was found partially covered by algae.
