Melixanthus coorgensis Bryant, 1941: 405 (Fig. 15) NFIC has only one paratype with five labels, Label 1: White label stating collection locality '(INDIA: Tamil Nadu); North Salem, Aiyur; 4.viii.1930; collected by FRI Sandal Insect Survey'. Label 2: white with ' Plot 18'. Label 3: with number '659'. Label 4: White label with ' Melixanthus coorgensis Bryant, Paratype (hand written), Det. GE Bryant'. Label 5: Green label stating ' Paratype'. Comments: The species was described on the basis of two specimens. In the original description author did not mention the depository.
