Lutjanidae Lutjanus jocu (Bloch & Schneider [ex Parra], 1801)—Dog snapper (FAO) References: New record; caught by fishing vessel John Melliss (Figure 15). Remarks: This is a primarily a western Atlantic species (New England to Brazil) that is also known from Ascension. The pale triangle below the eye and reddish fins seems key distinguishing characters clearly visible in Figure 15.
