The Epistemic Insight “Investigating Big Questions” Discovery Bags contain a variety of scientific equipment and resources to help students ‘think like a scholar’. This Investigation Card focuses on conducting an investigation with a pair of diffration glasses to investigate ‘why is the sky blue?’. Students are encouraged to use different disciplines to think deeper about the spectrum of colours in visible light, and how the symbol of the rainbow is used to convey meaning and purpose in many different settings.
