Off the Galapagos Islands, 40 fathoms deep (73 m). Type material. USNM 105380, syntypes. Distribution. Ecuador (Shasky 1983c; Skoglund 1992), Ecuador, Galapagos Islands (Bartsch 1907b; Keen 1971; Hertz 1976b; Finet 1985; Kaiser 1993; Kaiser 1997). Remarks. The genus Triphoris is of feminine gender, therefore the name should be Triphoris galapagensis f. postalba.
