Abstract

La pedagogia di Freire e la sua azione educativa si fondano su una precisa e articolata antropologia pedagogica. Questa rende conto della pluralità di fonti filosofiche e riferimenti culturali che caratterizzano il pensiero del pedagogista brasiliano. In questo quadro la categoria di storia assume un ruolo preminente: sia per declinare l’essenziale storicità degli esseri umani (antropologia filosofica) sia in quanto chiarisce il loro ruolo nel mondo e nel tempo (filosofia della storia). Queste due declinazioni, solo in apparenza molto astratte, sono cariche di implicazioni pratiche e determinano diverse azioni educative. Freire’s pedagogy and his educational action are based on a precise and articulated pedagogical anthropology. This accounts for the plurality of philosophical sources and cultural references that characterize the thought of the Brazilian pedagogist. In this context, the category of history assumes a pre-eminent role: both in declining the essential historicity of human beings (philosophical anthropology) and in clarifying their role in the world and in time (philosophy of history). These two declinations, only apparently very abstract, are rich in practical implications and determine different educational actions.
