A Fototerapia, ou, como nominada no Brasil, Fotopsicoterapia, que é a utilização de fotografias como instrumento terapêutico, tem sido vista, via geral, como sendo uma variante da técnica de associação livre, desenvolvida por Sigmund Freud e comumente aplicada na Psicanálise clássica. O que se propõe é uma visão holística para a Fotopsicoterapia, somando e integrando o que cada abordagem tem de melhor (incluindo a Arteterapia...) e introduzindo um olhar junguiano, objetivando comprovar que a imaginação ativa e dirigida (técnica projetiva da Psicoterapia de Carl Gustav Jung) é a que melhor aproveita os recursos da técnica. What is proposed is a holistic vision for Photopsychotherapy, adding and integrating the best of each approach (including Art Therapy...) and introducing a Jungian look, aiming to prove that active and directed imagination (projective technique of Psychotherapy of Carl Gustav Jung) is the one who makes the best use of the technique's resources.
