Abstract

Malcolmia maritima (L.) R. Br. – Sta Manza, près Bonifacio, 27.5.1907, Stefani, J. s.n. (G). Cet échantillon a été découvert dans l’ex herbier de R. de Litardière, mais n’avait, à notre connaissance, jamais été publié. Bien qu’il soit uniquement en fleur (pas de fruits), sa détermination ne laisse guère de doute. Il appartient sans aucun doute au groupe du M. maritima du fait des sépales longs de 7 mm dont deux à base gibbeuse, des styles et stigmates allongés (2-5 mm) et des poils médifixes (en navette) caractéristiques (STORK, Opera Bot. 33: 1-118, 1972). L’absence de fruit ne permet pas de contrôler s’il ne s’agit pas de M. flexuosa, mais la présence de poils multifides sur les feuilles font clairement pencher en faveur de M. maritima. En Corse, M. maritima n’avait été signalé qu’une seule fois par PETIT à Bastia (Bot. Tidsskr. 14: 244-248, 1885). Cette plante confirme la présence occasionnelle de cette espèce sur l’île, probablement à partir de plantes cultivées et échappées de jardins, puisque M. maritima est cultivée depuis le XVIe (Stork, comm. pers.). Son indigénat semble exclu puisqu’elle est loin de son aire naturelle connue. Elle a été signalée en Sardaigne, mais sa présence reste incertaine (ARRIGONI, Fl. Isola Sardegna 2: 471, 2010), ainsi qu’en Italie où elle est probablement indigène en Sicile et dans les Pouilles, mais adventice ailleurs (Frioul-Vénétie julienne) ou encore signalée avec doute dans le Lazzio (CONTI & al., Annotated checklistItalian vascular flora: 127, 2005).
