L’histoire de la santé des enfants à l’époque romaine connaît depuis quelques années un nouveau tournant grâce au développement des techniques d’analyses bio-archéologiques. Les recherches en cours à Avenches (Aventicum) en Suisse apportent aujourd’hui des informations inédites sur les carences nutritionnelles des tout petits, comme sur l’état de santé général des adultes, sous l’Empire. Cette recherche est soutenue par le Fonds National Suisse dans le cadre du projet "To be a child in Roman Aventicum/Avenches (1st-3rd c.
