Head: Head including eyes broader than anterior width of pronotum. Antennae slightly protruding base of pronotum when laid back. A4 broader than A3, slightly cordate, A5–A10 enlarged, cordate, broader than long, A11long, slender, slightly tapering apically, whitish to yellowish, basal part sometimes dark. Frons with broad, longitudinal, slightly elevated gibbosity and laterally with slightly flattened pit. Gular sutures with more or less deep, longitudinal pit, gular process broad, long. Thorax: Pronotum slightly broader than long (length to width index 0.75:1–0.84:1). Prosternal process long and narrow, not dilated distally. Metendosternite compact, furcal arms curved, furcal lamina ovate, furcal stalk with broad base. Anterior mesoventral process broadly triangular. Elytra: Elytra about twice as long as broad (length to width index 1.8:1–2.0:1), evenly domed, dilated towards apex, broadest behind middle, at apex constricted and separately rounded. Elytral punctation irregular, flat, diameter of punctures variable. Hind wings: MP3 + 4, CuA1 + 2 and CuA1 reduced. Legs: Tarsal pulvillar formula 4-3-2 or 4-4-2; protarsal pulvilli I–IV increasingly lobed; when 4-3-2, then mesotarsus I with very small pad (sometimes hardly visible), mesotarsal pulvillus II slender, slightly lobed; metatarsus I with tiny pad, metatarsus II with small pad, metatarsal pulvilli III and IV conspicuously lobed; when 4-4-2, then mesotarsal pulvillus I more or less straight or slightly lobed, from II onwards increasingly deeply lobed; metatarsus II with small pad, metatarsal pulvilli III and IV conspicuously lobed. Tibiae mostly with short carinae at base. Distribution: Cameroon, Central African Republik, Congo, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Kenya, Rwanda, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda.
