Acrotrichis josephi (Matthews, 1872) Material. NEW BRUNSWICK: Albert Co.: Mary's Point, 12.viii.2004, in compost: coastal field, CGMC. NOVA SCOTIA: Digby Co.: Brier Island, Pond Cove, 22.vi.2003, J. Ogden & K. Goodwin, rocky shoreline, pitfall trap, NSNR. Comments. Newly recorded in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, the Maritime Provinces, and eastern North America. Previous North American records of this species are from British Columbia, California, and Washington (Sörensson 2003). This Nearctic species was introduced to Europe in the 1980's (Sörensson 2003).
