Abstract

Ce rapport de suivi environnemental a été mené par l'équipe du site d'essais SEM-REV afin de comprendre, caractériser et mesurer les potentiels impacts environnementaux de l’éolienne flottante, FLOATGEN. Ce démonstrateur flottant de 2 MW dont le flotteur a été développé par la société BW IDEOL est installé en mer et produit de l’électricité depuis 2018. Ce suivi couvre toutes les étapes de ces 3 années de test en conditions réelles, de l’état initial du site à la phase d’installation des systèmes d’ancrage, au remorquage de l’éolienne sur site et à son raccordement au réseau électrique puis pendant son exploitation et lors des opérations de maintenance. L’étude concerne plusieurs domaines de la physique (acoustique sous-marine, champs électromagnétique, température) à la biologie (mammifères marins, communautés benthiques, avifaune, …) en passant par une composante sociale avec une analyse paysagère. À ce jour, aucun effet ou impact fort n’a été relevé sur l’environnement marin parmi l’ensemble des domaines étudiés. De plus, aucun incident environnemental ni aucune pollution n’a été engendré, que ce soit dans les phases de travaux, d’exploitation ou de maintenance du démonstrateur. Les essais du démonstrateur FLOATGEN se poursuivent jusqu’à l’automne 2023. Une fois les tests terminés, le démonstrateur sera démantelé. Le rapport de suivi environnemental sera mis à jour périodiquement pour couvrir l’ensemble de la phase de tests puis le démantèlement.
