Dischistodus pseudochrysopoecilus (Allen & Robertson 1974) —Monarch damselfish Status at New Ireland. New record, based on a video of a specimen taken at Anelaua Island, off eastern New Hanover, 4–12 m depth, St. KR130, in 2014 (identified by Barry C. Russell). Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 1.—General distribution: Indonesia east to Philippines and Solomon Islands, south to Queensland (Australia). Found in coral thickets interspersed with open sand and dead coral, 1–5 m depth. Marine.
