Amphiprion sandaracinos Allen 1972 —Orange anemonefish (Fig. 104) Status at New Ireland. New record, based on a specimen photographed on 3 June 2013 during ACIAR Aquarium Survey in Kavieng District (see Teitelbaum et al. 2013: 14); specimens were photographed at Lissenung Island, Kavieng region by Dietmar Amon on 1 June 2007; a video of a specimen taken off southern New Hanover at 3–47 m depth, St. KR 106, in 2014 (identified by Barry C. Russell). Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 1, 2.—General distribution: Christmas Island and northwestern Australia (eastern Indian Ocean) and Indonesia east to Solomon Islands, north to Ryukyu Islands, south to New Caledonia. Found in lagoons and on seaward reef slopes, commensal with sea anemones, 3–20 m depth. Marine.
