New record, based on NTUM 12372 (1 specimen, 44.1 mm SL, St. CP 4254-43, northwest of Kavieng), NTUM 11068 (1 specimen, 105.0 mm SL, St. CP 4418-19, northeast of New Hanover), and NTUM 11153, 11155 (2 specimens, 60.1–111.1 mm SL, St. CP 4444-2-4, north of New Hanover). Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 1, 2.—General distribution: Circumglobal in tropical and warm temperate oceans. Benthic, on the continental slope, 150–784 m depth. Marine.
