37. Myoxanthus parvilabius (C.Schweinf.) Luer (1982a: 49). (Fig. 17D) Basionym: Pleurothallis parvilabia Schweinfurth (1962: 14). TYPE:— GUYANA. Serra Acarai, epiphytic on low tree, on rocky hill top, east of Onoro, 2 Oct 1952, Forestry Dept. G 340 Record No. 7316 (holotype: NY!). Distribution: — Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru, Suriname and Venezuela. Notes:— Myoxanthus parvilabius is similar to M. xiphion but easily distinguished by its caspitose, prolific habit vs. caespitose not prolific and purplish flowers vs. yellowish. This species is here reported for the first time from Colombia based on a plant collected in Santander (Gutiérrez Morales 64 & Moreno, JBB-18745!, Fig. 17D).
